March 8, 2024 – Stephanie shared the team’s latest research at the first sub-conference of the Young Academy of Sciences Summit (YASS) held at CUHK. Under the theme “Life Science”, the sub-conference focused on emerging technologies in regenerative medicine and the application of stem cells in the treatment of diseases.

Johnson presented his latest research findings at the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (SKLLR) Annual Meeting held at JW Marriott on Nov 25, 2023. Well done! Again, a morning well spent learning about exciting HCC research work in the regional area.

Stephanie shared her team’s latest work on SPINK1-induced tumor lineage plasticity in HCC at the Yellow Webinar hosted by the Italian Liver Foundation on Nov 20, 2023.

July 6-8. 2023 – I am pleased to have the opportunity to present at this year’s 13th Asian-Pacific Primary Liver Cancer Expert Meeting (APPLE) 2023 held at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in South Korea. Great sharing with and speaking in the same session as Prof Michiie Sakamoto of Keio U, Prof Xin Wei Wang of NCI and Prof Xin-Rong Yang of Fudan U. A huge thank you to the organizing committee for their great hospitality. And always nice to spend time with PhD students Jia Jian and Toni, who also participated and presented their work at the conference.

June 12-15, 2023 – A few members of our team including Venus, Toni, Eric, Matthew, and Sheree traveled to Torino, Italy, and participated in the EACR 2023 Congress: Innovative Cancer Science. Always nice to spend time with the team outside the lab.
