July 18 2020 – This year’s State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (SKLLR) Annual Symposium was postponed again and again due to COVID-19. But despite all obstacles, the event was successfully held online through ZOOM on July 18th 2020. Our Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Tin-Lok Wong gave a presentation on his latest work “CRAF methylation by PRMT6 regulates aerobic glycolysis driven hepatocarcinogenesis via ERK-dependent PKM2 nuclear relocalization and activation” which was just published in the April 2020 issue of Hepatology.

Dec 9 to 12 2019 @ Awaji, Japan  – Shared, learned, met new and caught up with old friends at the Cold Spring Harbor Asia 2019 Conference on Liver, Biology, Diseases and Cancer held in Awaji, Japan this year.

Nov 4-6 2019 @ Bad Nauheim, Germany – Stephanie gave a talk at the HKU-CUHK-GIBH-MPI Joint Symposium – New Frontiers in Stem Cell Biology at Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research.

Oct 28-31 2019 @ Shanghai, China – Blessed to have the opportunity to participate in the World Laureates Association 2nd Annual Forum this year. Such an eye opening experience to be in the same room with 44 Nobel Laureates at the same time.

Stephanie was invited to speak at the NSFC-BHKAEC Joint Symposium on Chemistry for New Frontiers which took place in Hong Kong from 28-31 July 2019. Thank you for the opportunity!

Thank you for the opportunity to chair a session and speak at the 2019 Gordon Research Conference on Translational Cancer Genomics that was held in Hong Kong from June 30 to July 5 2019.

Stephanie was invited to speak at the School of Biomedical Sciences Research Day at CUHK held on May 15 and 16 2019.

Stephanie and Lena participated at the AACR International Conference 2019 – New Horizons in Cancer Research that was held in Shenzhen from May 3-5 2019. Stephanie shared the group’s research work on the role of REX1 in HCC in the form of a poster.
