Aug 6-8 2018 – Cancer Stem Cell Conference 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the third meeting series of this biannual event. Stephanie presented the team’s work on PRMT6 and its effect through post-translational modification via arginine methylation in the context of liver cancer.
Stephanie gave an invited talk at the Concurrent Session on Stem Cells & Cancer at the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Annual Meeting, held in Melbourne, Australia from 20-23 June 2018. Thank you for the opportunity ISSCR! Our postdoctoral fellow Lei Zhou (Lena) also shared her latest research data in the form of a poster and was recognized with an ISSCR Travel Award. Congrats Lena!
PhD student Noelia Che recognized with a Travel Award at the 2018 Liver Week conference that was held in Incheon, South Korea from June 14-16th. Congrats Noel!
RPG students Steve and Natalie presented their work at the Hong Kong Inter-University Postgraduate Symposium in Biomedical Sciences on June 23 2018.

Steve shared his latest research findings relating to liver cancer stemness epigenetics at the SKLLR Internal Meeting on 24 March 2018.
Stephanie presented the team’s findings on PRMT6 in HCC at the Cold Spring Harbor Asia – Liver Biology, Diseases & Cancer conference held in Suzhou, China from 4-8 December 2017.

The 22nd RPG Symposium of our Faculty was held on 6-7 December 2017. Steve gave his final oral presentation; while Natalie and Noel delivered poster presentations. Good job to all!!
Carol shared her latest research findings on the role of ANXA3 in mediating sorafenib resistance in HCC at the annual SKLLR Symposium held on Nov 11 2017. Stephanie also shared the team’s latest research work on PRMT6 in regulating liver cancer stemness and glucose metabolic rewiring.
Stephanie Ma co-chaired one of the sessions at the Keystone Symposium on Regenerative Biology and Applications: Cell Differentiation, Tissue Organization and Biomedical Engineering, held in Hong Kong from October 15-19 2017.
