The first CTSCB Symposium in Stem Cell Translation was held at HKSTP on Feb 9th, 2023. Happy to have the opportunity to see all the exciting work ongoing at the Centre for Translational Stem Cell Biology, led by Prof. Pentao Liu and funded by ITC’s Health@InnoHK. 
Congrats to Huajian on her first author publication in Hepatology – SERPINA12 promotes the tumorigenic capacity of HCC stem cells through hyperactivation of AKT/β-catenin signaling.

The annual HKU Faculty of Medicine Research Postgraduate Symposium (RPS) was held on 30 Nov to 1 Dec this year. Our final year Ph.D. students Jia Jian and Toni presented their research projects at the Oral Presentation Session and performed remarkably. Stephanie also shared the stage with Prof. Anderson Shum and participated in the Career Talk Session.
