Congratulations to Eric, Jia Jian and Shixun on their co-first author publication in Nature Communications – ADAR1-mediated RNA editing of SCD1 drives drug resistance and self-renewal in gastric cancer. Wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Prof SY Leung and her team at HKUMed, Prof John Copland of Mayo Clinic Florida, Prof JP Yun of SYSCC, and Prof LL Chen of CSI/NUS.

April 14-19, 2023 – Excited to finally be able to participate at the AACR Annual Meeting again in person after a long COVID pause. Spent a lovely week in Orlando, FL, catching up with old friends, building memories with the team, and learning new things. See you AACR Annual Meeting 2024 in San Diego next year!
April 28, 2023 – Celebration of our Faculty Output Prize for our publication in Gut. Admirable perseverance and hard work of Lena, Eric and the team, and a wonderful collaboration with Joshua and Ken. 
The lab hosted two brilliant BBMS summer interns Elok and Phoebe under the HKU Undergraduate Research Fellowship Programme #URFP 2022-23 in the summer of 2022. Both students shared their work at the Poster Presentation Session held on April 19, 2023. Congratulations to Phoebe on securing one of the six Best Presentation Awards. Well done to both!
